Rome Neighborhoods / Municipio

Rome Neighborhoods -

Why do you need to see this map of Rome (Roma)?

I’m sure there are many things related to the Municipio where you live in Rome, though as a starter resident this is helpful to find your ASL (Health Office for Health Insurance) and other bureaucratic requirements.

Rome is a big city and you need to go to the governmental offices in YOUR neighborhood.

“Municipio” translated is ‘Town Hall”.

I am using the term as ‘neighborhood’, ‘municipality’, ‘community’.

  1. Municipio Roma I (Centro Storico)
  2. Municipio Roma II (Parioli)
  3. Municipio Roma III (Nomentano – San Lorenzo)
  4. Municipio Roma IV (Monte Sacro)
  5. Municipio Roma V (Tiburtina)
  6. Municipio Roma VI (Prenestino)
  7. Municipio Roma VII (Centocelle)
  8. Municipio Roma VIII (delle Torri)
  9. Municipio Roma IX (San Giovanni)
  10. Municipio Roma X (Cinecittà)
  11. Municipio Roma XI (Appia Antica)
  12. Municipio Roma XII (EUR)
  13. Municipio Roma XIII (Ostia)
  14. Municipio Roma XIV
  15. Municipio Roma XV (Arvalia)

  17. Municipio Roma XVII (Prati)

In 2013 they adjusted a couple of the municipio – neighborhoods.  Here is a map showing the current (left) & the old (right) areas of Roma.
