Tangier, Morocco was fascinating – full of contrasts.
The white, white walls of the old city with splashes of the old Phoenician blue peaking out here and there , the boldly colored clothing, old crumbling buildings next to perfectly built homes, modern dress blending with the traditional dress. The city was incredibly visually stimulating, anywhere I looked there was something interesting to capture my attention. One day wasn’t enough for sure.
These are a few of my favorite shots which give a slight glimpse of this diverse city.

Amazing photos! I absolutely love how you’ve captured the locals’ brightly-colored clothing against the background of the city. (I particularly enjoyed the one of the woman dressed in blue, facing the ocean.) Tangier looks like such a beautiful city!
Thank you Packing My Suitcase! The contrast of the neutral environment with the splash of colors within the clothing, tiles, etc is what struck me ! Morocco sounds like a far fetched trip – but it’s easy to take a ferry from Spain (i left from Tarifa). I hadn’t planned on going at first since it seemed like a ‘big’ trip — turned out easy and economical too!
Looks like you had a wonderful tour. Did you have the matsutake mushrooms in any meals? The shichimi, if from a skilled spice master, would be a great seasoning for all sorts of things.
Wow, I love your photos! The one of the donkey made me smile, and I love the shot of the white street with the pink flowers hanging down over the door.
Thanks Regina! That little boy with his donkey was so sweet and a charmer in person. He was thrilled when I asked if I could take a photo of him and his friend 🙂

Awesome pictures of Morocco. Especially love the mosaic wall.
Thanks so much Ben. I was intrigued by the intense detail of the mosaic wall.
I could pour over these pictures for hours. Can’t wait to visit Morocco.
