White tents line the picturesque lake front and offer European deliciousness from Souvlaki, bratwurst, cheeses, pastries, cookies, beers, wines, liquors, roasted pork, paella, breads, gyros, olives, bretzels and so much more. Additionally, there are plenty of vendors selling beautiful handicrafts and creations as silk scarves, enamel ware, ceramics, clothing, etc. from a variety of European countries.

The European Market festival kicks off Friday evening May 15th and continues all day Saturday 16th/Sunday 17th through Sunday evening. (This is an annual event,held the 2nd or 3rd weekend in Lecco, Italy).
Location & Transportation:
Lecco is on the southeast tip of Lake Como. A scenic and non-touristy city with easy access from the train station, ferry or bus. Lecco center is mostly all pedestrian streets and piazzas lined with shops, caffes and restaurants.
Train from Milan: Milano Centrale station, only a 40 minute train ride. Check either Trenitalia or Trenord for schedules. Once at the ‘Lecco’ train station, just follow your nose to lead you down to the lake front festival 🙂 The Lecco train station is only a three minute walk from the lake front, it couldn’t be easier !
If you’re already staying at Lake Como –
From the city of Como, you have a choice to take the C40 bus or train with a change in Monza.
Or come by Ferry from Bellagio or one of the other center lake towns. Trenord trains run along the east side of the lake (Colico, Ballano, Varenna, etc)
